www.HIPfolio.co.uk is an independent online portal allowing the user to upload, manage and share the documents that make up a Home Information Pack (HIP). By using this website, uploading, downloading, viewing or printing the HIP documents, you are deemed to be in agreement with our terms and conditions as set out below.

Use of Web Site Information
Except as otherwise indicated on this site, you may view, print, copy, and distribute HIP documents on this site subject to the following terms and conditions:
The HIP document may be used solely for informational purposes;
Any copy of the HIP document or portion thereof must include all copyright and proprietary notices in the same form and manner as on the original;
The HIP document may not be modified in any way; and
HIPfolio reserves the right to revoke such authorization at any time, and any such use shall be discontinued immediately upon notice from HIPfolio.

HIP documents specified above do not include the layout or design of this web site. Elements of this site are protected by copyright or other laws and may not be imitated or reproduced in whole or in part.

HIPfolio.co.uk offers a search feature within the Site. HIPfolio explicitly disclaims any responsibility for the content or availability of information contained in our search index or directory. HIPfolio also disclaims any responsibility for the completeness or accuracy of any directory or search result.

Print Service:
HIPfolio provides a print ordering facility which enables viewers and registered users to order and pay for printed, bound hard copies of the HIP documents. HIPfolio will ensure that all the documents uploaded at the time of the order, and in relation to that particular HIP, will be printed in the order that they are required, by regulation, to be presented. It is the document providers responsibility to ensure that the PDF documents have the correct pagination within the individual PDF itself.

The printed copies will be supplied as a double sided document and bound together using thermal binding technology. Users have the option to upload a branded cover of their own design. This must be uploaded as an ‘authorised’ document and entitled ‘Cover’. If no cover has been supplied, HIPfolio will use their standard cover at that time.

Warranties and Disclaimers; Liability Limitations:
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED OTHERWISE IN AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND HIPfolio, ALL INFORMATION ON THIS WEB SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

In the event of any documents or HIP listings becoming corrupted or inaccessible, the limit of HIPfolio's liability will be to re-imburse the credit to your account so you can re-upload the corrupted/missing HIP listing.

Submissions:
With the exception of credit card numbers for the purchase of services, HIPfolio does not want to receive confidential or proprietary information through its web site.

Any information sent to HIPfolio, with the exception of credit card numbers, will be deemed NOT CONFIDENTIAL. You grant HIPfolio an unrestricted, irrevocable license to display, use, modify, perform, reproduce, transmit, and distribute any information you send HIPfolio, for any and all commercial and non-commercial purposes.

HIPfolio is not responsible for the accuracy of any information, data, opinions, advice, or statements within any HIP documents uploaded to this site.

You are prohibited from posting or transmitting to or from this web site any libellous, obscene, defamatory, pornographic, or other materials that would violate any laws. However, if such communications do occur, HIPfolio will have no liability related to the content of any such communications.

Secure online access:
HIPfolio enables the user to protect the information by means of a password that is created by the user. This password is optional and it is at the discretion of the HIP lister. By listing your HIP with HIPfolio, you agree that you are making the property and HIP contents accessible to be viewed by any other party, subject to protection by password.

Purchasing credits:
Credits can be purchased in single units or blocks of 10. No refund will be given for unused credits or for credits that have to be deleted due to changes required by the user once a HIP has been created.

Document management:
HIP listings can be managed and deleted by the registered user only. It is advisable to confirm that you have a back-up copy of any HIPs you are about to delete before you delete them off the HIPfolio website.

HIP Listings expiry:
HIP listings can automatically remain on the database for a period of 9 months. After this time, the registered user will receive an email informing them that the HIP listing is due to be deleted off the system automatically within 28 days of the email. The email will contain a link or other instructions to request that the HIP remain on the database for a further period of 9 months at the cost of 1 credit. If you do not require the HIP to remain on the database, no action will be required but if you want to keep the HIP online, you will need to follow the instructions in the email. Once the HIP is deleted off the system, we do not keep any back-up or store a copy of the HIP. It is highly advised that the registered user ensure they have a valid copy for their own future reference and as part of their professional liability to their clients.

Linking to HIPfolio’s Web Site
HIPfolio permits anyone to link to HIPfolio's web site subject to the linker's compliance with the following terms and conditions:

A site that links to HIPfolio's web site:

May link to, but not replicate, content contained in HIPfolio's site;
Must not create a border environment or browser around content contained in HIPfolio's site;
Must not present misleading or false information about HIPfolio's services or products;
Must not misrepresent HIPfolio's relationship with the linker;
Must not imply that HIPfolio is endorsing or sponsoring the linker or the linker's services or products;
Must not use HIPfolio's logos or any copyrighted material without prior written permission from HIPfolio;
Must not contain content that could be construed as obscene, libellous, defamatory, pornographic, or inappropriate for all ages;

The HIPfolio web site may contain mention of third-party products and services for informational purposes. HIPfolio makes no recommendations or endorsements about third-party products and services. Privacy Policy
HIPfolio respects your right to privacy and we are committed to protect the personal information that you share with us. You can view HIP documents without giving us any information about yourself.

To use HIPfolio to create and manage your own HIP listings, you are required to provide some information about yourself. We remain the sole owner of the personal information that you share with us.

Sharing Information
We will not resell your information, but we may choose to forward information about related services and products or special offers that may be of interest to you. We will also use your email information to contact you about specific HIPfolio offers and services.

When you register your user account, you have the opportunity to inform us that you do not wish to have aforesaid information forwarded to you. If you fail to take this opportunity to remove your email address from such emails, you may still have your details removed at a later date by sending an email to lucy@hipfolio.co.uk with the appropriate instruction.

Although we make every effort to preserve your privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
You agree that all matters relating to your access to, or use of, this web site shall be governed by the laws of Great Britain and the United Kingdom.
