What can I do with HIPfolio?
You can share your HIP documents with any interested parties from one online source. Upload once and the job of keeping tabs on your PDF files is complete! No more lost files on the computer or corrupted CDs or data sticks!
First Day of Markteting
As an independent HIP provider, speed and great service are key benefits to your clients. HIPfolio takes the headache out of the Property Information Questionnaire with a fast and easy 'weblink' option - simply enter your sellers name(s) and email address and they can complete the form in minutes.
Equally, when all the documents are in place for the 'basic' HIP - HIPfolio's 'FDM Calculator' enables you to send an email alert direct to the estate agent and/or seller to let them know the property is ready to market. You can also use this email to attach the energy rating graphics for use on their marketing material.
How will it save me time?
By uploading your files once, any time-consuming enquiries or requests for HIPs can be answered with one simple sentence: “The files you want are available on www.HIPfolio.co.uk, and just enter the password …..”
Solicitors, vendors, estate agents and buyers with internet access can all track and share these documents.
Is it secure?
Absolutely. You set a password of your choice when you first create your HIP listing.
What if I forget the password?
The password is always accessible from your registered Control Panel.
What is the Control Panel?
The Control Panel is the hub of your HIPfolio account. From here you can sort and view your HIP listings, manage the files and order printed copies when the HIP is complete.
How can my clients track the progress of their HIP?
Once a HIP listing has been created, the address can be found via the search facility on the homepage of HIPfolio.co.uk. Viewers do not need to be registered users of HIPfolio but they will need the password to see which documents are available and which documents are still outstanding.

What else can HIPfolio do for me?
In order to be environmentally conscious, we should all advocate the use of electronic documents where practical. However, there will always be some requirement for printed copies. There is no legal requirement under the current regulations for a printed version of the HIP to be supplied but you must provide one, at reasonable cost, if someone requests it.
Historically this has created unwanted administration for the HIP provider with no extra profit. However, with HIPfolio as your partner, such print requests can now be dealt with by a few clicks of the mouse.
Both viewers and registered users can independently order and pay for their own printed copies through the site. These are professionally printed and bound and then despatched within 2 days by registered first class post.
How long will the HIP listings stay online?
The initial period is 12 months. Once this time expires, you will automatically be sent an email to remind you and you will be given the option to renew the HIP listing for another 12 months for the cost of 1 credit! You will have 30 days to respond to the email, with subsequent reminders weekly, and if you don’t need it online anymore, you simply ignore the email and it will automatically be deleted off the system.
How much does it cost?
To purchase a single HIP listing credit costs £7.50. You can also purchase discounted blocks of 10 credits for £35.00 or 25 credits for £75.00 – that’s just £3.50 and £3.00 each respectively!
Printed copies cost £18 which includes professional laser printing, professional binding and recorded first class post to the designated delivery address.
What do I do now?
To start uploading your HIPs, follow these simple steps:
1. Register and create your account
2. From the Control Panel, add your logo and contact details. These will appear on each and every HIP listing to make sure your clients know who to contact with any queries
3. Then you can start to create your HIP listing and set a password if you wish
4. Confirm the details
5. Purchase credits or enter a promotional code
6. Send the weblink for the PIQ to the seller
7. Start uploading and sharing your documents - keep an eye on the FDM and when it goes live, that means the property can be marketed …
8. Send the FDM email alert to the estate agent and/or seller to let them know the 'basic' HIP is in place
You can add the other documents as and when you receive them. Once all the HIP documents are uploaded, set the HIP status to complete and the print facility will become active. (Note: you cannot amend a HIP listing once the status has been set to complete)
